RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: R&D Laboratory Chemist

· Guidance of chemists and technicians in the execution of their duties

· Gather technical information to develop formulation strategy.

· Formulation of products for the consumer.

· Communicate with Quality Assurance to ensure desired results.

· Communicate with appropriate pilot, scale up and production staff to ensure the proper technology transfer from the laboratory to the various Apollo departments.

· Examine/establish art work/labels for the products.

· Assign/monitor workflow for the laboratory technicians.

· Troubleshoot in the plant

· Purchase of laboratory supplies.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: R&D Laboratory Technicians

-Preparing batches/samples, given the desired product requirements.

-Execution of standard laboratory testing

-Manufacture of formulations to achieve desired product characteristics

-To recommend changes to formulas to improve characteristics and cost effectiveness

-Set up, adjust and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.

-Packaging and labeling stable samples prior to production

-Document all observations, experiments, test results and information into lab book, and to maintain the database with the latest information.

-Clean laboratory equipment.

 


Position:         Production Assistant

Reporting Relationship:  Shift Supervisor

Job Summary:         

To assist the Line Operators with various stages of cosmetic production as required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Feed bottles to production line.
  • Feed capping machine with caps.
  • Check capping on bottles as they proceed along the line.
  • Pack finished goods into boxes.
  • Feed boxes through tape machine.
  • Stack boxes on skids.
  • Clean up garbage at the end of each shift.
  • Identify and report any hazard(s) in their workplace.
  • Enforce adherence to all Apollo Health and Beauty Care safety requirements.
  • Report any accidents, injuries requiring first aid, health care, lost-time injuries, occupational diseases or incidents.
  • Use equipment, materials, and machinery only as authorized.
  • Follow procedures and wear personal protective equipment as outlined in Apollo’s Health and Safety Program.
  • Other related duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Able to follow instructions.
  • Physically able to stand for long periods of time and perform all manual aspects of the job, including but not limited to bending, lifting, twisting.

Position:         Palletized Operator

Dept:                Production

Reporting Relationship:  Shift Supervisor

Job Summary:         

Efficiently stacks and organizes finished goods onto a pallet.  Additional duties include the prevention of accidents, the reinforcement of health and safety and to achieve all production requirements in a timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Obtain finished goods from assembly line and place in arrangement onto pallet as specified on Production Sheet.
  • Inspect finished goods for damage and make presentable to customer.
  • Print and place pallet ID on completed pallets.
  • Plastic hand wrap finished pallet.
  • Set up case coder. (Printer and Rails)
  • Set up case sealer and tape rolls. 
  • Identify and report any hazard(s) in their workplace.
  • Enforce adherence to all Apollo Health and Beauty Care safety requirements.
  • Report any accidents, injuries requiring first aid, health care, lost-time injuries, occupational diseases or incidents.
  • Use equipment, materials, and machinery only as authorized.
  • Follow procedures and wear personal protective equipment as outlined in Apollo’s Health and Safety Program.
  • Clean up workstation at the end of each shift.
  • Any other related duties as required.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 LB.
